Hey everyone! I hope you've all been well!
I'm so used to bouncing back from colds and bronchitis and laryngitis and all this other crap, but for the past two weeks, mono has had me in bed and it's so WEIRD. I've been bored out of my mind with being able to do nothing, and eating jello every morning is so weird (especially if you have chicken soup after because cherry and chicken soup don't go well together, just saying). So I have literally been losing my mind for the past two weeks because I have no idea what to do.
I am missing so much school and it's stressing me out even though my professors told me not to worry, they'd get me my workload but I'm just so laksjdlsad because WHAT DO
That said, I have not worked on cosplays or props or anything remotely interesting to post up on here, so I'm sorry to disappoint in that area xD
Before mono hit, I'd been doing pretty well in school so far, keeping up with coursework, assignments, and was preparing for a couple tests (which are now rescheduled bleh). I was also working a lot - got a nice big paycheck a couple weeks ago but since I'm sick, I haven't been able to work, so I'm grateful for that paycheck because it's sustaining me until I get another two weeks' worth of work done.
I think one part of me that is so restless through this mono stuff is because I haven't been able to go to my job and I consider myself a good worker - show up on time, get my work done, listen when I am being corrected, increase speed and performance, and all that. And I don't want mono to be a reason for them to re-think my status there. I mean, I trust that they won't let some illness dictate my future in the company, but I am paranoid and I really like where I'm working so I just hope as soon as I'm well, I can jump right back into it. I don't like not working ><
Now for the other half of this journal - anyone ever have one of those crazy dreams you can't explain? That strange terrifying dream that when you wake up halfway through it, everything is hot and you feel dizzy and it's like you're running a fever and you're sweating and you gotta go splash cold water on your face to cool off? And it's not even necessarily a nightmare or night terror - it's just this intense crazy wild dream that's out of your control and it's just so weird and asdjsalkda I think I'm just going to blame the mono because I have been having these weird dreams ever since I was diagnosed in the hospital so asldjsal shutting up now
Anyway, I'll post something more interesting later on when my laptop isn't threatening to overheat after sitting on my blankets while I'm stuck in bed
